The Garden Co-op Nursery School is excited to announce its Spring Fundraiser, "The Garden Spring Bonanza" Consignment, Rummage and Bake Sale.
When: Sunday, April 19th, 2009 from 8am ? 1pm **NO EARLYBIRDS**
Where: Bank of America parking lot, 2263 Colorado Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90041
What: This event is a consignment sale with new and gently used items as well as a rummage sale with clothes, household items and electronics. We will also be selling baked items, lemonade and coffee!
All of the money we raise will benefit the Garden Co-Op Nursery School and will go toward operational costs, such as teacher salary, curriculum supplies, and ongoing site expenses.
We will also be accepting items for the rummage sale. We would appreciate items to be clean and in working condition (unless it's a collectible). Please note that we won't be able to transport large items like furniture or large appliances, so if that's something you want to donate, we would appreciate it if you would be responsible for transporting it yourself, and coming to pick it up by 1pm the day of the event should the item not sell. If you have anything that you would like to donate, please bring them to the Garden Co-Op Nursery School located at 3602 Eagle Rock Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90065 during a designated drop off time. Drop off times are as follows:
Thursday, April 16th: 3pm-4pm and 5:30pm-6pm
Friday, April 17th: 12pm-2pm
Saturday, April 18th : 9am-11am and 2pm-4pm
A little bit about The Garden?
In September 2000, a small group of dedicated parents sought to create a safe, affordable, and socially progressive nursery school for their children. Through the tireless efforts of these founding parents, coupled with help from a generous benefactor, our permanent school site was secured and has transformed over the past 8 years into a thriving place for families to grow and learn together. The Garden also became the first new co-op nursery school in Los Angeles to emerge in over 25 years.
Located in Glassell Park, The Garden serves children from all economic and ethnic backgrounds in North East Los Angeles. We respect our children's individual needs while guiding them on their way to meaningful and respectful interactions with peers and community.
Thank you so much for your support!
