17th Annual Atwater Village Tree Lighting- PEP RALLY
On behalf of the Vibrant Village Board of Directors of the Atwater Griffith Park Chamber of Commerce, it gives me great pleasure to announce this year’s 17th Annual Atwater Village Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Set to take place on Thursday, December 4, at 6:30PM, this happy and joyous event will once again be held in the parking lot of Wells Fargo Bank located at 3250 Glendale Blvd.
Over 600 people attended last year’s event, and we look forward to an even bigger turnout this year for a program that promises to be more exciting and dazzling than ever.
Our plans for this years wonderfully unique night include featuring children’s choirs from our various local schools, “Voices of Christmas” choral singers, a potential “surprise” appearance by a Atwater Village-based World famous singer, and of course Santa Claus himself, arriving via the Los Angeles Fire Department. In addition to our local talent, representatives of the Los Angeles City Council: Council President Eric Garcetti who proclaimed last year’s event as the “largest tree lighting event” that he had seen in Los Angeles, Councilmember Tom LeBonge, and other political figures will be in attendance.
In preparation for the many visitors our Village anticipates for The Lighting, a Chamber mixer “Pep Rally” will be held on the back patio of Kaldi Coffee next Tuesday night, November 18, at 7PM. Come meet the new Vibrant Village Board of Directors, the Tree Lighting Committee, and get a sneak preview at some of the new decorations that will be added to last year’s collection of glittery and sparkly ornaments.
As we are in the process of gathering sponsorships to help pay for the added elements to this year’s Event, please bring your checkbooks too and we’ll have the sponsorship forms ready for you.
We all know it takes a Village to make it happen, and you are the Friends and Neighbors to create the magic.
