Atwater Playhouse offers Atwater Village residents FREE admission to their new 2007 production!!!
Atwater Playhouse and Method Acting Company opened its third original production, Hands of an Angry God, this past weekend. In celebration of its one-year anniversary, the theater would like to extend an invitation to all residents of the burgeoning Atwater Village, to attend the production for FREE. This original play was written by playwright Laurie Powers and directed by Atwater resident Jamie Paolinetti. Hands of an Angry God follows the lives of two American families and communities during World War II. Through the war and consequential events, their lives become entangled and they are forced to confront their beliefs and their desires.
Rich in symbolism and allegory, Hands of an Angry God offers the audience the chance to take a hard look at some of the most poignant topics of today: war, religion, politics, and the effect on relationships.The Atwater Playhouse Company is made up of classically trained method actors who have collectively performed in Los Angeles, New York and abroad.
Hands of an Angry God directed by opens Friday, April 20 at 8:00 pm, and will run every Friday and Saturday night through June 2nd. ADMISSION is $10.00 at the door. Doors open at 7:00 pm, and seating is first-come, first-served. Tickets may also be purchased online through LA Stage Alliance, www.lastagealliance.com.
